Nasim launches new Peugeot Blue Box centre

Kuala Lumpur: Nasim Sdn Bhd, the official distributor for the Peugeot brand in Malaysia, has launched the Peugeot Blue Box Sungai Petani as part of a nationwide network expansion drive.

With the new Peugeot Blue Box in Sungai Petani, there are now a total of 21 sales outlets and 19 service centres in the country.

The Peugeot Blue Box Sungai Petani is a 3S centre offering sales, service and spare parts and brings the total number of 3S Peugeot centres in the country to 12.

The new Peugeot Blue Box Sungai Petani is part of a nationwide expansion exercise that was undertaken by Nasim earlier this year that has resulted in the launch of five new outlets. Besides Peugeot Blue Box Sungai Petani, the other new outlets launched were in Melaka, Kota Bharu, Balakong and Kota Kinabalu.

“The Peugeot brand has been one of the fastest growing brands in Malaysia this year. In order for us to accelerate this growth further, it is imperative for us to bring Peugeot to new markets,” said Datuk Samson Anand George, COO of Nasim.

The Peugeot Blue Box Sungai Petani is owned and operated by Le French Lifestyle Sdn Bhd, which is a unit of the Chye Seng Group of Companies.

“It is worth pointing out that of the five new outlets launched this year, four are dealerships which indicates the level of confidence investors have in the Peugeot brand,” said Samson.

As at end-November 2011, Nasim has sold 4,949 units this year which is 92% higher than the volume sold in the same period in 2010.

In comparison to Nasim’s sales for the whole of 2010, the volume recorded as at end-November 2011 is 75% higher.

Peugeot sales in Malaysia as of Oct 31, 2011 accounts for 86% of the French carmaker’s total sales in the Asean region.

Samson said Peugeot Blue Box Sungai Petani will enable Nasim to tap into the Kedah market and expand Peugeot’s sales in Malaysia in 2012.

The Peugeot Blue Box Sungai Petani will carry the latest Peugeot models including the all-new 508 and the RCZ which was recently named Car of the Year by the NST-Maybank Car of the Year 2011 Awards.

The outlet’s service centre is equipped with the Peugeot Planet System Diagnostic tool which enables the service personnel at the centre to perform full static and dynamic diagnostics on the vehicle’s management software.

It can also be utilized to carry out software updates to ensure every Peugeot is operating with the latest software.
