BHPetrol contest winners get prizes

PETALING JAYA: After three months of the BHPetrol’s Drive to Win, Tay Song alias Tey Tong Kuan from OUG, Kuala Lumpur, won the last RM100,000 in the final month of the contest along with 104 winners who took home cash prizes, and thousands of BHPetrol ePoints.

A loyal BHPetrol user for years, Tay, 71, was shocked when he was contacted that he won the big prize.

“Winning such a big prize at this age really makes me excited and happy! I’ve been driving for almost 50 years so I know real economy when I see it and that’s why I filled up at BHPetrol,” said Tay.   

As a retired government staff, he now spent his time watching television at home and does a part-time job as translation teacher.  He said he will use the cash prize to travel overseas and keep the rest as savings.  

Besides Tay, another four motorists also won big cash prizes. They were Kwong Ah Chai (RM30,000), Azman Ismail (RM20,000), Lim Khoon Hock (RM10,000) and Lee Sin Chai (RM5,000). 

There were also 50 consolations prize winners that won RM1,000 each and 50 special prizes of 50,000 ePoints each. 

The contest ran from April 1 to June 30, and RM100,000 was given each month to the first prize winner with other cash prizes and millions of ePoints as prizes. 

To participate in the contest, all motorists had to do was buy a minimum of RM30 of fuel at a BHPetrol service station and answer two simple questions.

BHPetrol retail director, James Khoo said that the three-month contest was a great chance for Malaysian to give BHPetrol Infiniti Advanced2x RON95 and RON97 a try to feel the difference and, at the same time win big cash prizes.

“We at BHPetrol would like to thank all our loyal customers who made the contest a great success.  We know you loved it and we will continue to provide you with the best products with the best service at the best-looking stations,” he said.

The full list of winners for the contest can be viewed at www.bhpetrol.com.my.  All winners were notified by telephone calls.

Meanwhile, BHPetrol-Celcom-HTC Contest that ran from April 1 to June 30, ended on a high note with four lucky winners getting brand new HTC Smartphones.

Entry only required a purchase of a Celcom XPax reload valued at RM30 and above in a single receipt at participating BHPetrol service stations.

BHPetrol marketing manager, Baba Tan said that the three-month contest was a great success and has received tremendous response from the public.

“A smart collaboration with Celcom and HTC has made this contest so popular and increased our brand equity. We definitely looking forward to organize more tie-up promotions in the future and thanks to all our customers who have participated in this contest,” said Tan.
