Rev up your engines and get set for the big car-nival

PETALING JAYA: Rev up your engines, bring the whole family and head over to The Star Motor Carnival in September where there will be something for everyone.

From car and motorcycle displays, booths selling auto parts and accessories, street entertainment, as well as exciting games and activities, the carnival aims to be the largest one-stop centre for all things automobile.

The inaugural carnival will be held in National Stadium in Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur, from Sept 14 to 17.

Cityneon Malaysia deputy events director Charles Yong said there would be about 150 companies exhibiting at the event.

“Apart from the vehicle exhibitions, there will also be supercar or superbike rides, face-painting, treasure hunts, go-kart and bumper boat rides, a ‘Pimp My Car’ booth, a ‘Fun Land’ for kids, goodies for early-birds and a lucky draw,” he said when met at the final exhibitors’ preview at Menara Star here on Thursday.

He said there would also be police and Road Transport Department (JPJ) booths where people could check for summons and free car inspection by manufacturers.

Yong said the carnival would also see many test drive opportunities for those interested in buying a vehicle.

“It will be a one-stop place – all in a matter of just two hours,” he said.

The four-day carnival is jointly organised by The Star and Cityneon Malaysia, and is supported by Star Rev and its online companion star-motoring.com, which come under the Star Media Group. Cityneon is a subsidiary of Star Publications (M) Bhd.
