Star Motor Carnival preview on July 26

PETALING JAYA: The Star will be holding an additional preview on July 26 for exhibitors and interested parties for the coming Star Motor Carnival.

The Star’s chief events officer Iris Tan said this was to cater to requests following the very encouraging turnouts at the two presentations held on July 4 and 13 at Menara Star here.

To confirm a place, exhibitors or interested parties should contact Star Events at 03-7967 1388 (ext 1165/1657).

The inaugural carnival will take place at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur from Sept 14 to 17.

Visitors can look forward to great bargains and deals on all things automobile as well as exhilarating car drifting demonstrations, charity classic car rides, inflatable funfairs, lucky draws and pop performances among many others.

The carnival promises a friendly buyer-seller environment where prospective buyers can get good deals while their families have a fun filled outing.

“They can carefully choose from a wide variety of vehicles with their spouses or partner and even test drive cars with the whole family,” carnival manager Charles Yong said on Friday at the second exhibitors preview held at Menara Star here.

Among the brands and companies who have confirmed their participation are Mazda, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Peugeot, Kia, Chery Motors, Garmin, Elite Looks (M) Sdn Bhd, JSKY Season Service, Orient Sun Motor Sdn Bhd, D&D Performance Sdn Bhd, MG Dynamic, PZ Lubricant, Cardeas Sdn Bhd, YTL Yes 4G and Terminal One Motorsports.

On Friday some 50 people from over 20 companies attended the preview.

They included representatives from 2020 MotorTrading, 3M Malaysia, Adil Niaga, Gagasan Globe, Amtel, Automobile Association Malaysia, Dongfeng Commercial Vehicles, Heap Joo Company, classic car groups, the Road Transport Department, Petron and Pizza Hut.

Tan said all companies running and offering businesses and services related to motoring, from new and pre-owned cars to automobile accessories (tinting, rims, tyres, lighting and interior), car electronics (GPS, music systems, air purifiers and security alarms), gadgets and aftermarket enhancements, and services (insurance and financing), should not miss the opportunity to take part.

The four-day carnival is jointly organised by The Star and Cityneon Malaysia, and is supported by Star Rev and its online companion star-motoring.com, which come under the Star Media Group.

Cityneon is a subsidiary of Star Publications (M) Bhd.
