KUALA LUMPUR: BMW Malaysia is starting 2011 with the unveiling of three variants of its bestselling series.
They are the 320d M Sport, the 323i Exclusive Edition and the 325i Sports Edition. Also set to draw attention are the locally assembled X1 xDrive 20d and X1 sDrive 18i.
The launch of the three cars here on Jan 15 will be held in conjunction with BMW's Chinese New Year open house at all its 15 dealerships nationwide.
The Jan 15-16 open house promises to be a fun-filled day for families with activities that include calligraphy drawing, traditional performances such as mask changing and lion dances. Visitors would also get a chance to have their fortunes read and be treated to a Chinese buffet.
The special edition cars offer upgrades in exterior and interior features. All three cars now have brake energy regeneration as a standard feature, which make them more efficient and economical to use. Expect them to be dressed up to varying degrees of sportiness complemented by different alloy wheels.
The 320d M Sport, the only diesel-powered variant, will get BMW Navigation System Professional, said to be a first for a diesel 3 Series.
The price of the cars are: 320d M Sport (RM260,800); 323i Exclusive Edition (RM275,800); 325i Sports Edition (RM309,800); X1 xDrive20d (RM298,800); and X1 sDrive18i (RM238,800).
