With the latest arrival, Honda Malaysia has dropped the RM109,814 Grade V Jazz and is selling the Jazz S and Jazz Hybrid, priced at RM99,800 and RM94,800 respectively.
When the second-generation Jazz was launched in 2008, it was available for a time in the S and V grades. The S was subsequently dropped but made a comeback today.
The 5-door compact hatchback is powered by a 1.5L i-VTEC engine (the hybrid car uses the 1.3-litre Insight engine).
The 5-speed Auto Transmission combines with the i-VTEC engine to offer 120bhp at 6,600rpm and peak torque of 146Nm at 4,800rpm.
According to Honda, the drive-by-wire technology controls the engine and transmission to provide smoother shifting, reliable acceleration and linear driving at regular speed range.
The Jazz S retains the key features of the Jazz such as the Ultra Seat and a large boot space.
The Ultra Seats, now in blue-black, can be folded quickly. It can be transformed, flipped and adjusted easily to different modes for different purposes.
Additionally, the unique central fuel tank layout, located underneath the rear seats, creates a larger legroom for front and rear seat passengers.
Safety equipment includes Vehicle Stability Assist, two airbags, ABS + EBD and Brake Assist as well as G-CON crash impact dispersion technology.
Honda Malaysia aims to sell 210 units of the Jazz S by the end of the year.
The Jazz S, a fully imported model from Thailand, is available in Brilliant White Pearl, Polished Metal Metallic and Crystal Black Pearl.
