KUALA LUMPUR: MINI Malaysia has introduced the limited edition MINI Cooper Baker Street and MINI Cooper S Bayswater.
The cars are currently on display at the MINI Adrenaline Auto Bavaria Roadshow at One Utama Shopping Centre.
The MINI Cooper Baker Street represents the latest state of evolution of MINI’s design language with an emphasis on the brand’s urban cultural interpretation.
Special exterior colours featured on the MINI Cooper Baker Street include Rooftop Grey, Pepper White and Midnight Black. All colours are matched with Black roofing.

Wheels are 16-inch aluminium 6-Star Twin-Spoke rims in Nightfever Black while there are special MINI Baker Street labels at the bonnet stripes, mirror caps and front wings.
In its interior is a youthful MINI Baker Street signature Cross Check design contrasted with Rooftop Grey Light finishes which match the exterior surface colours on its leather and cloth seats.
The unique Baker Street elements are also featured in the MINI’s Entry Strips and Side Scuttle with the special inscription of the “Baker Street” lettering on the door sill finishers and seat badges.
Additionally, the velour floor mats also highlight light grey edging and contrast stitching which are similarly done on the gear lever knob and handbrake gaiter, giving the MINI Cooper Baker Street its distinctive limited-edition look.
Under the stripped bonnet of the MINI Cooper Baker Street is the well-established powerplant of the MINI Cooper - the four-cylinder 1.6 litre engine capable of churning out a maximum power output of 88kW or 120hp with a torque reading 160 Nm.
This burst of power enables the MINI Cooper Baker Street to achieve its 0 – 100KM acceleration in 10.4 seconds whilst only consuming an average of 6.7 litres per 100KM of fuel as well as an average CO2 Emission of only 156 grams per kilometre.
The MINI Cooper S Bayswater design, meanwhile, combines motorsport styling with urban cool as part of its unique package of extras and is said to be ideal for the sportier driver.
An exclusive Kite Blue Metallic exterior paint finishe is standard but it is also available in the choice of Eclipse Grey Metallic and Midnight Black Metallic.

The limited edition model features special elements making it recognisable from a distance - special bonnet stripes, and its model name on the front wings as well as 17-inch Sanblast Turned light alloy rims in Jet Black as standard.
Inside the sporty interior, there are Punch Rocklike Anthracite leather trims, with contrast stitching in a choice of Blue or Brown. For even greater exclusivity, the interior surfaces are also topped with sleek Piano Black MINI Bayswater finish, reflecting the graphics on the bonnet stripes.
The seat badges and door sill finishers which feature the MINI Bayswater lettering give the vehicle a distinctive look.
The gearshift and handbrake gaiters are also made of leather with a choice of Blue or Brown stitching, complementing the rest of the sports-elegant interior which include the velour floor mats with Anthracite contract stitching and edging.
Engine-wise, the MINI Cooper S Bayswater features MINI’s multi award winning twin scroll turbo charged 1.6 litre engine capable of a maximum output of 135 kW or 184 hp with a torque reading of 240Nm.
The engine enables the MINI to achieve its 0-100 km/h acceleration in 7.2 seconds whilst only consuming 6.7 litres per 100 KM of fuel as well as only emitting 155 grams of Carbon Dioxide (CO2).
The MINI Design Edition cars will be on display at the MINI Adrenaline Auto Bavaria Roadshow at One Utama Shopping Centre from July 11 - 15.
The retail price (on the road for personal registration, without insurance, with the MINI Tender Loving Care service package) for the new MINI Cooper Baker Street is RM198,888 and the new MINI Cooper S Bayswater is RM248,888.
