PARIS: You are looking at the limited edition Bose Edition of the Renault Koleos.
It is powered by a 2.0 dCi 150 engine which can be mated to one of three types of transmission: six-speed manual/front-wheel drive, six-speed manual/4×4 or six-speed automatic/4×4.
It's positioned as a core-range version, which combines the refined listening pleasure delivered by Bose Premium sound with modern styling.
The Bose Sound System comes with seven speakers and woofer, and CD player with MP3 playback and Plug&Music digital connectivity.
Since 2007, Renault has chosen Bose for the design of its high-end in-car audio systems.
Bose audio systems are tailor-made for the cabin of each model in an attempt to achieve a live performance.
To produce this audio quality inside the Koleos, Bose engineers take more than a thousand acoustic readings inside the cabin.
Engineers from Bose and Renault then work together to optimise the system’s integration inside the cabin.
The number, type and position of the loudspeakers are determined, while the digital processors and signal equalisers are tuned to produce a rich, natural, Bose-quality sound that is balanced for all occupants, whatever the volume.
The new Koleos will also feature specific exterior styling and interior appointments.
Specific styling details include aluminium-coloured door mirror housings, extra-tinted rear glass, coloured 17-inch alloy wheels, and Black Lacquer interior trim details, plus mixed black fabric upholstery.
This is not the first time Renault is working with Bose, having used its expertise in special editions of the Megane and Laguna before.
Renault decided to extend the partnership with the Koleos as the first Bose Edition of the SUV proved to be a sales hit, accounting for almost 30 percent of the model’s sales in 2011 across Europe.
Prices for New Renault Koleos Bose Edition start from 29,400 euros (around RM120,000) in France.
